University of Illinois Springfield Police Department reported responding to the following incidents for the period of Mar. 31 to Apr. 6

Warrant Service

03/31/2019 12:54 a.m. at 11th/Hazel Dell

While on patrol an officer initiated a traffic stop. The officer made contact with the operator of the vehicle and determined the operator had a valid warrant. The operator of the vehicle was arrested and transported to the Sangamon County Jail.

Remove Subjects

03/31/2019 3:47 p.m. at PAC

An officer was dispatched to the above location to check on multiple unauthorized subjects congregating in a conference room. The officer made contact and advised the subjects they could not use the room unless authorized. The officer escorted the subjects out of the room and secured the door.


04/02/2019 2:30 p.m. at the Student Union

A subject came by the police department to file a report in regards to another subject who had been harassing them.

Civil Process Service

03/18/2019 2:21 a.m. at Founders Residence Hall

Officers were dispatched to the above location to serve a No Trespass order to an individual. The subject was served and escorted off of campus.

911 Investigation

04/06/2019 1:33 a.m. at SLB Gym

Sangamon County Dispatch called about a 911 call originating from the above location. An officer checked the area and determined the call was accidental.


04/06/2019 12:02 a.m. at 6th St Frontage Rd/Southwind Rd

While on another call an officer noticed a vehicle driving erratically. The officer performed a traffic stop and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and transferred to Sangamon County Jail.
