After conquering the public, the television series “Gangs of Galicia” (the original title is “Clanes”) returns to Netflix with a breathtaking second season. The Spanish crime drama, set among the mists and illicit trafficking of the Galician coast, restarts with new strategies and a love story destined to be tested like never before.
Gangs of Galicia 2: the plot
The story resumes after a three-year time jump. The time that has passed has not been enough to erase the past, neither for Ana nor for Daniel, who inevitably find themselves sucked back into the world of Galician drug trafficking. But this time the situation is even more complex: the two find themselves on opposite sides. Daniel decides to return to sea for one last mission, driven by the desire to help his father and finally close with that world. Ana, however, is forced to return to Cambados, the hub of the region’s criminal dynamics, where she agrees to collaborate with the rival Padín clan. A risky choice, which could have irreversible consequences. The conflict, therefore, is not only criminal but also emotional; and every decision weighs on relationships, making feelings and bonds double-edged weapons. In this scenario, the love between Ana and Daniel risks being the first victim.
Gangs of Galicia 2: the cast
The new season includes the return of the main protagonists: Clara Lago still plays Ana, while Tamar Novas returns as Daniel. The main new entry is Luis Zahera, a much appreciated face in the thriller genre. The cast is completed by Xosé Antonio Touriñán, Melania Cruz, Miguel de Lira, María Pujalte, Chechu Salgado and Diego Anido.
The screenplay is still signed by Jorge Guerricaechevarría, while the direction is by Marc Vigil and Javier Rodríguez. The production is handled by Vaca Films, already behind other successes on the platform.
