GialappaShow, Sabrina Ferilli’s imitation is irresistible: "When I worked with Virzì, he taught me everything"

The “GialappaShow” returned on Monday 30 March on TV8 and, among the most anticipated faces of this restart, there is Valentina Barbieri, now a fixed name for those who follow the new comedy that has grown between social media and television. The numbers portray her well – one million followers on TikTok and over half a million on Instagram – but above all it is her style that makes her recognisable: imitations that don’t stop at the voice, but work on rhythm and tics to build a character.

This time the target is Sabrina Ferilli. Barbieri puts it back on stage with a reading of his own, playing on the actress’s very Roman accent and imagery and on a detail that the public has learned to know by heart: “Cecilia”. The name, which went viral and was also mispronounced online as “Scescilia”, exploded on social media due to its pronunciation in the Canale 5 drama “Head held high – The courage of a woman”, which aired at the beginning of 2026 and often ended up at the center of clips and comments, including those linked to some stumbles on the set.

The result is a parody that also hit the mark on official channels: the clip was the most viewed last night on Gialappa’s TikTok profile. Barbieri, who in addition to imitations is also known as an actress and who will soon join the cast of “Lol-6”, thus confirms herself as one of the key faces of the new season.
