On the night of January 5, 2024 in Los Angeles, the best films, the most beautiful series, the most impressive performances by actors and actresses of the last series and cinema season were elected with the Golden Globe 2025 ceremony. There were many titles nominated but only a few of these were able to win over the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Among the films that triumphed was The Brutalist by Brady Corbet, considered the best drama film of the year – it had premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival – but also the highly acclaimed Emilia Perez, chosen as the best comedy film. From a serial point of view, however, Shogun took home the title of Best Drama Series while Baby Reindeer was elected Best Miniseries.
Disappointment for Italy where Vermiglio by Maura Delpero, candidate among the best foreign films, was unable to beat the very strong competition.
