The best Netflix series of 2026, so far

The first months of 2026 have passed and we can already start to take stock of Netflix’s strongest titles this year. There are already some series that have been able to capture our attention and generate dizzying numbers in terms of views.

Let’s find out what they are but know that the list is destined to grow during 2026.

The best Netflix series of 2025, to catch up on

One Piece 2

Perhaps one of the best serial adaptations ever, “One Piece”, with its second season confirms itself as a small masterpiece of the adventure/fantasy genre. There was every risk of making a mistake but with this series, Netflix managed to work a miracle by creating a story with such attention to detail that it was practically perfect from all points of view: screenplay, direction, photography, construction of the characters.

In the new episodes of the series, Monkey D. Luffy’s adventure continues in search of the One Piece along the Grand Route together with his crew and there will be many surprises. Don’t miss out on this series because it would be a real shame.

Salvador

A Spanish series that shakes consciences and offers an honest story about the violence of contemporary society. Talking about the phenomenon of incels and neo-Nazism, this 8-episode series drags us into the darkest side of our contemporary world, offering us a non-one-sided perspective on the topic of violence and parenting today. Truly a well made series that everyone should see.

His truth

A thriller series that has conquered the whole world thanks to a captivating story but also to its profound, timely, intimate subtext. We talk about murders in which to find a culprit but also about marriage and the difficulties of being together despite the dark moments, the dramas, the mistakes. We talk about career but also about parenthood and the passing of time, all told with elegance but also with many twists.

If you love thrillers, don’t miss this series because it will leave you speechless, especially in its ending.

Bridgerton 4

The fourth season of Bridgerton is also convincing, returning to Netflix this year, telling the story of the family’s second son, the rebellious and non-conformist Benedict. It is a linear season, without too many upheavals or twists, however, very pleasant. Bridgerton 4 tackles many strong and interesting themes: it talks about female orgasm, rediscovered sexuality after long abstinence, love between different social classes and there is also a nice crossover with the spin-off “Queen Charlotte”.

We are waiting to see its sequel, but we can confirm that this new Bridgerton is good, like the entire series.

Unfamiliar

A perfect spy thriller for those who love action and twists. Former spies Simon and Meret run a hidden safe house in the heart of Berlin. When a threat they thought was dead resurfaces, the two must hide from a series of assassins, Russian agents, BND agents, ex-lovers, and many people they’ve wronged, all while trying to keep their marriage together.

Detective Hole

If you love slightly dark crime stories with esoteric and mystical elements in the plot then Detective Hole is the right series for you. Definitely one of the most loved crime films of 2026 and a title that truly glues you to the screen.

Created by Jo Nesbø, one of the greatest crime fiction storytellers, the “Detective Hole” series is a serial killer mystery featuring the famous antihero Harry Hole.

It is a drama centered on two police officers (and alleged colleagues) who operate on opposite sides of the law. During the first season, Harry clashes with his longtime adversary, the corrupt detective Tom Waaler. Harry is a brilliant but troubled homicide detective who struggles with his demons. As the two navigate the blurred ethical boundaries of the justice system, Harry must do everything he can to catch a serial killer and bring Waaler to justice before it’s too late.

Something Very Bad is Going To Happen

Produced by the creators of Stranger Things, the Duffer brothers, “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen” is a very particular horror thriller series and certainly one of the titles to see this year precisely because it is one of the most talked about. We are not at the levels of Stranger Things but this series has the advantage of hooking us so much that we can no longer do without it and, beyond its imperfections, it is a title worth seeing, especially if you love horror/splatter (but not only).
